What You'll Do

  • Help Members Reach Their Goals: Listen to members, understand their financial needs, and recommend solutions that genuinely fit their circumstances.
  • Make Lending Decisions: Interview applicants, evaluate credit requests, process consumer and real-estate loan applications, and make lending decisions within your assigned authority and WestEdge guidelines.
  • Build Member Relationships: Open new accounts, assist with everyday financial needs, and develop long-term relationships built on trust and personal service.
  • Solve Problems: Help members navigate questions and challenges with confidence, sound judgment, and a commitment to finding solutions.
  • Manage Risk: Balance excellent member service with responsible lending, attention to detail, and sound credit-union practices.
  • Be Part of Our Community: Represent WestEdge through community involvement and help strengthen the relationships that make a local credit union different.

 

What We’re Looking For

You'll be a great fit if you:

  • Enjoy working directly with people and building lasting relationships.
  • Have experience with consumer lending and are comfortable evaluating credit.
  • Communicate clearly, professionally, and confidently.
  • Can make sound decisions while balancing member needs and credit-union risk.
  • Are organized, accurate, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
  • Enjoy learning and are comfortable adapting to new technology.
  • Work well as part of a team and are willing to step in where needed.
  • Want to work somewhere your contributions are visible and make a difference.

 

Experience & Qualifications

  • Previous consumer lending or loan-processing experience strongly preferred.
  • Credit union, banking, or other financial services experience preferred.
  • Mortgage or real-estate lending experience is a plus.
  • A combination of education and relevant experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the responsibilities of the position.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning financial-services technology.
  • Spanish-speaking ability is a plus.
